Experienced Butcher

Langford, Essex

£38,000 - £45,000 per annum

40 Hours Per Week | 6:00am Start

Our client is a well-established butcher based in Langford, Essex. Having built an excellent reputation for quality, the business is continuing to grow, supplying high-quality meat products to restaurants, commercial customers and online consumers across the region.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Butcher to join their team and play a key role in the next stage of the company's growth.

The Role

This is a hands-on butchery position where you will be responsible for preparing and cutting a variety of meat products to customer and commercial specifications.

Working alongside a Butcher's Assistant, you will focus on the skilled butchery aspects of the operation while helping to maintain the high standards that the business is known for.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing and cutting beef, lamb, pork and poultry products
• Breaking down and portioning meat to specification
• Producing orders for commercial and retail customers
• Maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
• Minimising waste and maximising yield
• Ensuring food hygiene and food safety standards are maintained
• Supporting stock control and inventory management
• Working closely with the wider team to meet customer demand

About You

• Previous experience working as a Butcher is essential
• Strong knife skills and meat preparation experience
• Good understanding of food hygiene and food safety regulations
• Pride in producing high-quality products
• Reliable and hardworking
• Able to work effectively within a small team
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
