📍 Basildon | EHS Officer
We are seeking an experienced EHS Officer to join our manufacturing team in Basildon.
Salary💷 £35,000 - £40,000 per annum depending on experiance
Hours
Monday – Thursday: 8.00am - 17.00pm
Friday - 8.00am to 12.00pm

Purpose of role and accountabilities:
- Support compliance with EHS legislation, company standards and site procedures.
- Conduct workplace inspections, internal and external audits and risk assessments.
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Coordinate EHS training, inductions and awareness activities.
- Maintain EHS records, reports and performance data.
- Support emergency preparedness, fire safety and occupational health programmes.
- Monitor contractor and employee compliance with safe working practices.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Core skills/attributes needed:
- NEBOSH General Certificate or IOSH or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and risk assessment processes.
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO50001 is desirable.
