Accounts Assistant

📍 Near Brentwood, Essex
💷 £13.00 per hour
🕒 8:00am - 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant looking for your next opportunity? Our client, a well established and growing business near Brentwood, is seeking a reliable and detail oriented individual to join their friendly and supportive team on a long term temporary basis.

Duties will include:

• Managing accounts payable and maintaining accurate financial records
• Raising purchase orders and processing purchase and supplier invoices
• Carrying out bank and supplier account reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving account discrepancies
• Supporting month end and year-end reporting processes
• Preparing and processing payment runs
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors regarding payment queries
• Maintaining organised and audit-ready financial documentation
• Verifying employee timesheets against clock-in records
• Supporting payroll administration and payment processing
• Assisting with general finance and accounting duties as required

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, or Finance Assistant role
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident using finance systems and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organisational skills
• A proactive and positive approach to work
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
