Assistant Quantity Surveyor (AQS) 🔍

Location: Brentwood, Essex

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (DOE)

START DATE: ASAP

Job Type: Permanent

We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a contractor delivering a mix of warehouse (industrial) and residential projects based in Brentwood, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with 2–3 years’ experience looking to develop their career within a stable and supportive environment.

Key Requirements:

• 2–3 years’ experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• Experience within industrial (warehouse) and/or residential sectors
• Background demonstrating continuity and progression in previous roles
• Strong understanding of cost control, procurement, and subcontractor management
• Full UK driving licence required
• Must be based within commutable distance to Brentwood

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the commercial management of projects
• Support cost planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts
• Assist with procurement of subcontractors and suppliers
• Monitor project costs and ensure financial efficiency
