Assistant Site Manager – Volume Housebuilder

Location: Essex
Salary: £55,000 + Excellent Package

Are you an ambitious Assistant Site Manager looking to take the next step in your career with a leading volume housebuilder

We are seeking a driven and proactive Assistant Site Manager to join our team on a flagship 200-unit residential development in Essex. Working alongside an experienced Site Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality development safely, on programme, and to the highest standards.

The Role

As Assistant Site Manager, you'll support the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring trades are coordinated effectively and homes are delivered on time and to exceptional quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the day-to-day running of a busy residential development.
• Supervising subcontractors and monitoring productivity and workmanship.
• Ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained at all times.
• Carrying out quality inspections and snagging to ensure homes meet company standards.
• Supporting build programmes and helping achieve key project milestones.
• Managing site logistics and maintaining a clean, organised working environment.
• Liaising with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager and other departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Promoting excellent customer satisfaction through quality-focused construction.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Previous experience as an Assistant Site Manager within a volume housebuilding environment.
• A strong understanding of traditional and timber frame construction methods.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to motivate and coordinate subcontractors effectively.
• A proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering quality homes.
• SMSTS or SSSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain where required).
