Business Development Manager

£30,000 basic salary + uncapped commission

Polkadotfrog are delighted to be supporting a well-established, family-run building services business in their search for an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a supportive, growing business where your success will be recognised and rewarded. You'll work with a portfolio of long-standing clients while also having the freedom to identify and secure new business opportunities, making a real impact on the company's continued growth.

Based full-time at the company's Basildon office, you'll receive a competitive basic salary of 30,000, alongside an attractive uncapped commission structure with genuine earning potential.

Key responsibilities as the Business Development Manager:

• Develop and grow relationships within an established portfolio of existing clients, identifying opportunities to increase business.
• Generate and win new business through proactive prospecting and networking.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Create and manage a healthy sales pipeline, consistently delivering against growth and revenue targets.
• Work closely with the wider team to ensure exceptional customer service and long-term client satisfaction.

Skills needed to be successful as the Business Development Manager:

• Proven success in business development, account management and winning new business.
• Previous experience within the construction or building services sector, ideally with exposure to public sector clients.
• Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
• A confident relationship builder with outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Self-motivated, target-driven and eager to contribute to a growing business.
