Strategic Sourcing Buyer – Aerospace

Are you a procurement professional with experience sourcing fasteners, engineered components or aerospace materials? Do you enjoy negotiating commercial agreements, building supplier partnerships and driving cost-saving initiatives?

We’re supporting a leading aerospace supply chain organisation in the search for a Strategic Sourcing Buyer to join their growing purchasing team. This is a commercially focused role where you’ll lead RFQs, negotiate supplier agreements and develop sourcing strategies that directly impact business performance.  

Key Responsibilities

• Lead supplier sourcing activities, RFQs and commercial negotiations.
• Identify, evaluate and develop strategic suppliers.
• Drive cost reduction, supplier performance and sourcing initiatives.
• Support new customer programmes and product introductions.
• Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure supply chain excellence.  

About You

• Aerospace procurement or sourcing experience.
• Knowledge of aerospace (advantagoeus but not essential) and supply chain processes.
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
• Commercially minded, organised and relationship-driven.
