Job Description:

Example Recruitment Group Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing facilities management business for a Commercial Gas Engineer to cover Essex, ideally based around the Chelmsford or Southend-on-Sea areas.

You'll be joining an expanding team that takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service across a diverse portfolio of commercial properties.

The Role

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will predominantly carry out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and repairs across a range of commercial sites including schools, care homes and government buildings. Whilst the role is primarily maintenance focused, there will be occasional installation work.

Salary & Benefits

• £55,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Company van provided
• Fuel card provided
• Full-time permanent position
• Monday to Friday working pattern
• No on-call rota or out-of-hours working
• Working hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintenance and repair of commercial gas systems.
• Carrying out gas safety inspections and fault finding.
• Diagnosing and repairing heating and hot water systems.
• Maintaining LPG systems where required.
• Completing planned preventative maintenance across commercial properties.
• Undertaking occasional installation works.
• Delivering excellent customer service whilst working independently on site.

Requirements

• Commercial Gas qualifications (essential).
• Experience carrying out service, maintenance and repair works.
• LPG experience would be advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Willingness to travel
