Commercial Manager — Commercial Fit-Out

Location: Billericay, Essex (full time, office based)
Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 + £5,000 car allowance
Holiday: 25 days annual leave + bank holidays

An established and growing commercial fit-out contractor is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager to join their team at their Billericay office.

This is a genuine opportunity to take real ownership of the commercial function. Working directly alongside the directors, you'll manage projects across London and the South East from tendering and pricing right through to subcontract procurement, valuations, variations and final accounts. Rather than being one of many in a large commercial team, you'll have visibility, influence and the chance to shape how the business operates commercially.

The role:

• Producing detailed quotations and tender submissions
• Sub-contract procurement and commercial management
• Managing sub-contract accounts and variation accounts
• Day-to-day cost control, monitoring and reporting
• Submitting valuations, final accounts and retention release
• Producing monthly cost/value reports and cashflow forecasts
• Managing several projects simultaneously, working closely with project teams and directors

About you:

• At least 5 years in a similar commercial role within the fit-out industry
• Strong CAT B commercial fit-out experience
• Working knowledge of JCT and other forms of contract
• A recognised industry qualification (RICS / CIOB or similar)
• Able to work closely with senior management and procurement teams
• Commutable to Billericay and comfortable with a full time office-based role

The package:

• £80,000 – £90,000 basic salary
• £5,000 car allowance
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
