Contracts Manager - Civil Engineering & Groundworks

Salary and Package - £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus company vehicle or car allowance, pension, annual leave and additional benefits.

Location - Essex with travel to sites across the South East and surrounding regions.

Full-time, Permanent Position

The Contracts Manager Civil Engineering & Groundworks will oversee projects from pre-start through to completion, working closely with clients, site teams and the commercial department. About the Role

You will be responsible for managing several projects simultaneously, ensuring work is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing multiple civil engineering, groundworks and concrete repair projects.
• Overseeing Site Managers and project delivery teams.
• Planning programmes and monitoring project progress.
• Managing project costs alongside the commercial team.
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensuring health, safety, environmental and quality standards are achieved.
• Attending client meetings and site progress meetings.
• Coordinating labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Identifying and resolving project risks and operational issues.
• Supporting project planning, resource allocation and successful project delivery.
• Ensuring projects are completed on time and to specification.
• Producing regular progress reports for senior management.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience managing civil engineering or groundworks projects and possess strong leadership, organisational and communication skills. Previous experience delivering drainage, highways, reinforced concrete, infrastructure or specialist concrete repair works would be highly advantageous.
