Creative Graduates Wanted – Teaching Assistant

Full-Time September 2026 Start Upminster

We are seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and adaptable individuals to join a welcoming primary school in Upminster as a Teaching Assistant from September 2026. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive impact in education.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will support pupils across the primary age range, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities may include:

Early Years (EYFS)

• Supporting children through play-based learning activities.
• Assisting with phonics, early reading, writing, and number development.
• Encouraging social, emotional, and communication skills.

Key Stage 1 & Key Stage 2

• Supporting pupils in lessons across English, Maths, and the wider curriculum.
• Working with small groups to reinforce learning objectives.
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and positive learning behaviours.

Special Educational Needs (SEN)

• Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs.
• Building positive relationships to support engagement and progress.
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to implement learning strategies.

Requirements

• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.

• Ability to commit to a full-time, long-term position from September.
