Customer Service & Claims Administrator
 
Location: Near Bishop's Stortford
 
Salary: £26,436 per annum (pro rata) + annual bonus
 
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
 
Contract: Permanent
 
We are looking for a Customer Service & Claims Administrator to join an established and friendly team near Bishop's Stortford. This is a busy and varied position where you will be dealing directly with customers, managing claims and providing day-to-day administrative support.
 
No two days will be exactly the same. You'll be handling customer enquiries across telephone, email and live chat, processing claims, maintaining accurate records and helping customers with the collection of their personal effects.
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is organised and accurate, and can confidently manage a varied workload. Previous customer service or administration experience would be ideal, and full training will be provided.
 
You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team within a stable working environment, with the added benefits of free parking and excellent transport links.
Key Responsibilities

• Handling passenger enquiries by telephone, email and live chat
• Processing and managing passenger claims from initial enquiry through to completion
• Preparing and responding to customer correspondence
• Recording and processing passengers' personal effects
• Assisting passengers with face-to-face collections
• Keeping internal systems and departmental spreadsheets accurate and up to date
• Carrying out data entry and maintaining detailed records
• Arranging courier bookings and coordinating deliveries
• Providing general administrative support to the wider team

About You

• Previous experience within customer service, administration or a similar office-based position
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A confident and professional telephone manner
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
• Organised and comfortable managing several tasks at once
• Confident using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheets
• Able to prioritise your workload and use your own initiative
• A helpful and professional approach when dealing with customers
