Job Description:

Due to their continued success, our client is looking to recruit a creative Digital Content & Social Media Executive to strengthen their thriving marketing department in Chelmsford. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the department on various social media initiatives to promote the business’ products and brands.

The successful candidate will combine creativity with a strong understanding of digital marketing, taking ideas from initial concept through to content creation, publication, and performance analysis. They will be confident producing compelling written and visual content, identifying opportunities to engage audiences and adapting their approach to suit different platforms.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Taking ownership of day-to-day social media content, from idea generation and copywriting through to design, filming, editing, and publication
• Developing creative content ideas that support wider marketing objectives and strengthen brand awareness
• Producing a variety of engaging digital assets, including graphics, carousels, short-form videos, and campaign content
• Planning and managing the social media calendar to ensure a consistent flow of relevant, high-quality content
• Working with colleagues across the business to identify stories, insights and expertise that can be translated into engaging digital communications
• Monitoring social media channels, managing audience interactions, and identifying opportunities to increase engagement
• Reviewing platform analytics and reporting on performance, making recommendations to continually improve content and results
• Keeping up to date with emerging social media trends, creative formats, and platform developments
• Creating and maintaining visual assets and templates to ensure brand consistency across digital channels
• Supporting the wider marketing team with creative projects and broader digital marketing initiatives as required

Skills & Experience Required:

• At least two years’ experience in social media, digital marketing or content creation, gained within an agency or in-house environment
• Proven experience developing and delivering engaging content across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and TikTok
• Strong copywriting skills, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and channels
• Hands-on experience shooting and editing video content, including short-form video and Reels
• Proficiency in creative tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, CapCut or similar editing software
• Experience managing social media content calendars and maintaining a consistent brand presence across multiple channels.
• An understanding of social media analytics, with the ability to assess performance and use insights to improve future content.
• A creative mindset, strong attention to detail and the confidence to generate ideas and bring them to life.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across the business to develop relevant and engaging content
