Electrician BESS O&M Technician

Location: Essex
Salary: £49,000 – £52,000 (DOE)

A rapidly growing operations & maintenance service provider within the renewable energy sector is seeking a Field-Based Battery Energy Storage (BESS) O&M Technician. The Package

• £49,000 – £52,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience)

The Role

This is a field-based position involving maintenance, fault-finding, and commissioning across multiple utility-scale battery storage and solar sites. You will play a key role in ensuring optimal system performance, safety, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on BESS and PV systems
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on electrical and control systems
• Ensure compliance with health & safety standards on site
• Support and supervise subcontractors where required

About You

• Electrical Qualifications
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience in industrial electrical maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

Previous experience in energy storage is not essential, full training will be provided. Candidates with the right attitude and ambition will be supported to progress into advanced roles, including High Voltage Authorised Person status.
