Senior Site Manager (Freelance) – Commercial Office Refurbishment

Location: Gravesend, Kent
Rate: £250–£300 per day (CIS)
Start Date: Immediate – Wednesday 22nd July
Contract: Freelance Holiday Cover

An established and highly respected Main Contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to take the lead on a £5 million commercial office refurbishment project in Gravesend, Kent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a proven No.1 Site Manager with extensive commercial refurbishment experience to oversee a technically challenging project with a strong focus on internal fit-out works. You will be responsible for managing approximately 25 operatives on site while maintaining excellent client relationships and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility as the No.1 Site Manager on site.
• Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring works are delivered to programme, budget and quality standards.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors and all site activities.
• Lead the delivery of internal refurbishment and fit-out works.
• Maintain excellent health, safety and environmental standards across the project.
• Liaise directly with the client and provide regular progress updates to senior management.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager working for a Main Contractor.
• Previous experience delivering commercial office refurbishment or fit-out projects.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple subcontractors and site teams.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications are essential.
