Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

• Carry out fee earning work designing schemes.
• The formation of sound engineering designs, providing cost effective solutions.
• Attending meetings with clients, contractors and other professionals.
• Draw up detailed specifications and drawings.
• Project manage site works from commencement to completion.
• Develop energy strategies to adopt appropriate sustainable and low carbon mechanical design systems.
• Complete site visits, surveys, and witness system commissioning.
• Work as part of a team
• Carry out tasks to progress your knowledge and experience.

Essential skills and Experience

• Degree/master’s degree in mechanical engineering or building services.
• Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations and best practice and environmentally sensitive.
• Chartered Engineer status or an aspiration to become chartered
