Job Description:

We are recruiting for a Junior HR/Payroll Administrator to join a large, fast paced business near Ongar. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills who is keen to gain valuable experience within a supportive HR team.

Working in a varied and changing environment, you will play an important role in supporting the HR/Payroll function for their large UK workforce. Alongside HR administration, you will also assist with payroll related administration and general office support.

Key Details:

• Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00 (35 hour week)
• Starting salary £24,000
• 21 days holiday + BH

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting the employee journey from new starters through to leavers
• Maintaining employee records and updating HR systems accurately
• Preparing letters, reports and other HR documentation
• Assisting with payroll administration and data processing
• Handling employee queries and providing administrative support to managers
• Supporting document control, compliance checks and departmental administration

Skills and Experience Required

• Ideally some administration experience in an office environment
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Good numerical ability and confidence working with data
• Strong communication skills with a professional and confidential approach
• Competent in Microsoft Office and electronic filing systems
• Access to own transport due to company location
• A levels or equivalent desirable
