Job Description:

Job Title: Mobile Forklift Engineer
Basic Salary: £31,000 - £38,000
OTE: £36,811 – £45,124 per year (5 hrs OT PW)
Location: Chelmsford Essex
Overtime is paid at 1.5x
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40hrs

A reputable & well established Material Handling Company is seeking a  Mobile Forklift Engineer based in Chelmsford Essex, This is a mobile / field based position and you will need a full UK driving licence. Due to my clients increased workload, they are expanding their team!


The Role

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Carrying out LOLER inspections
• Completing detailed safety checks and pre-delivery inspections (PDI)
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out reactive maintenance to minimise customer downtime
• Completing service reports, job sheets and all relevant compliance documentation accurately
• Liaising with parts departments to ensure the correct components are sourced and fitted

What We’re Looking For

• Experience required: Forklift Engineer, Plant Fitter, Agricultural technician, HGV technician
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with diesel engines
• Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Experience working with electrical and hydraulic systems
• Experience or knowledge of LOLER inspections would be desirable
• The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of longevity and stability in previous positions, with a genuine interest in building a long-term career with one organisation.
• Full UK driving licence

Package:

• Basic Salary: £30,000 - £40,000
• OTE: £35,624 - £47,498 (based on 5hrs overtime)
• OTE: £41,248 - £54,997 (based on 10hrs overtime)
• Overtime is paid at 1.5x, with lots available
• Company van with fuel card provided
