Are you an enthusiastic teacher looking for flexible working arrangements?

TeacherActive is working with a welcoming primary school in Newham that is looking to appoint a qualified and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to provide flexible teaching cover across the school.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher seeking flexible working arrangements. The role may particularly suit a recently retired teacher wishing to remain involved in education, a teacher returning to the profession following a career break, or someone seeking regular part-time teaching work.

• Providing one regular day of teaching each week, to be agreed with the school.
• Covering additional staff absences on an ad hoc basis.
• Providing occasional pre-arranged cover when advance notice is available.
• Teaching across different classes and year groups when required.
• Delivering engaging lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment.

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have previous experience teaching within a primary school.
• Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Be adaptable, reliable and confident working across different year groups.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
• Be committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
• Have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
