Job Description:

Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–5:00pm | Friday: 8:00am–4:00pm (30-minute lunch break)

We’re looking for a reliable and practical Production Machinery Operative / Relief Warehouse Operative to join an established business in Basildon. This is a varied role combining spiral tube production, machine operation, warehouse duties and stock control. You’ll play an important part in ensuring products are manufactured to a high standard and customer orders are accurately prepared and dispatched.

• Operating the Spiral Tube Forming Machine to produce quality products to specification.
• Carrying out routine machine checks, cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Monitoring raw materials and finished stock levels.
• Reporting machine faults, damage or maintenance requirements.
• Receiving, checking and storing incoming goods.
• Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and stock rotation.
• Using forklift trucks and pallet trucks as required.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse.
• Supporting wider branch operations when required.
• Following all Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Previous manufacturing, machine operation or production experience.
• Warehouse, stores or logistics experience.
• Counterbalance forklift experience and a current licence.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Experience with stock control, picking, packing and dispatch.
• The ability to carry out basic equipment checks and identify faults.
• A strong understanding of Health & Safety and PPE requirements.
• The ability to safely handle goods weighing up to 25kg.
• A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.

Experience with spiral forming machinery, Reach forklifts, warehouse systems, trade counters or HVAC/ducting products would be an advantage.
