Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of rail infrastructure projects in the East Anglia region, with a particular focus on earthworks and civil engineering works within the rail environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional with a strong track record of managing complex rail projects safely, on time, and within budget.

The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring compliance with rail industry standards, client requirements, and health and safety legislation while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.

Will also consider Site Agent with this experience looking to take that step up.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of rail earthworks and civil engineering projects.
• Lead project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to achieve project objectives.
• Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Monitor project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation measures.
• Liaise with clients, designers, suppliers, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present progress reports, financial forecasts, and project updates.
• Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, industry regulations, and company procedures.
• Manage change control, commercial performance, and project documentation.
• Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all works are carried out in line with company and client expectations.

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Agent delivering rail infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in earthworks, groundworks, and civil engineering projects within the rail sector.
• Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification (essential).
• Ideally you will hold your CRE-C Competency
• Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, programmes, and resources.
• Excellent understanding of rail industry standards, safety requirements, and construction methodologies.
