Site Manager

Location: Dagenham / London & South East
Salary: £50,000 – Negotiable depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing construction company, managing projects across London and the South East.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience within groundworks, civil engineering or general construction and be confident managing sites from day to day.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites.
• Manage direct labour, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure all health and safety requirements are met.
• Plan and coordinate site activities, labour and materials.
• Monitor project progress, quality and deadlines.
• Carry out site inspections and quality checks.
• Review drawings and specifications.
• Ensure RAMS, permits and site documentation are in place.
• Conduct toolbox talks and site briefings.
• Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Identify and resolve site issues to prevent delays.
• Maintain accurate site records and reports.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Site Manager within construction, groundworks or civil engineering.
• Good knowledge of drainage, foundations, concrete and excavation works.
• Experience managing subcontractors and site teams.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Good understanding of health and safety.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• SMSTS.
• CSCS Gold or Black Card.
• First Aid at Work.
• Willing to travel across London and the South East.
