Senior Systems Engineer

We are recruiting for an experienced Systems Engineer to join a leading engineering organisation delivering advanced defence, electronics and complex systems projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Systems Engineer with expertise in systems integration, verification & validation (V&V), systems design, testing and the full systems engineering lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering activities from concept through to delivery and customer acceptance.
• Support systems integration, verification, validation and test activities.
• Produce technical specifications, engineering reports and system documentation.
• Participate in design reviews, risk management and project planning.
• Mentor junior engineers while working across software, electrical and mechanical engineering teams.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration and Verification & Validation (V&V).
• Strong understanding of the complete systems engineering lifecycle.
• Background within defence, radar, maritime, navigation, electronics or other complex engineering environments.
• Knowledge of communications protocols such as TCP/IP, RS232, RS485 or CANBus is advantageous.
• Experience with EMC, electronics, test equipment or product development is desirable.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance and willing to travel when required.
