Temporary Works Engineer – London

Location: London
Salary: £60,000 – £65,000 + Excellent Package

Are you an experienced Temporary Works Engineer looking to join a leading contractor delivering some of London's most complex and high-profile construction projects?

We are seeking a talented Temporary Works Engineer to support the design, management, and coordination of temporary works solutions across a diverse portfolio of civil engineering and construction schemes.

As a Temporary Works Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of temporary works designs and procedures. Working closely with site teams, designers, and project stakeholders, you'll provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.

• Design and check temporary works solutions in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
• Produce calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
• Support Temporary Works Coordinators and site teams with technical advice.
• Ensure compliance with BS 5975 and relevant health & safety regulations.
• Review temporary works designs from external consultants and subcontractors.
• Attend site inspections and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Contribute to project planning and risk management activities.

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Previous experience working as a Temporary Works Engineer within construction or civil engineering.
• Strong understanding of BS 5975 requirements.
• Proficiency in design software and technical calculations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Working towards or already Chartered (ICE or IStructE) would be advantageous.
