Job Description:

Location: Dartford
Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00 start
Pay Rate: £13.50 – £16.00 per hour
Start: Interviews available as soon as next week

We are currently recruiting for a Transport / Logistics Administrator to join our client’s busy transport operation based in Dartford.

Working closely alongside the Transport Manager, you will provide day-to-day administrative support and help ensure the fleet and transport operation runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Transport Manager with general transport administration
• Updating and maintaining PMI (Preventative Maintenance Inspection) records
• Assisting with daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Maintaining accurate vehicle and driver records
• Monitoring vehicle maintenance and servicing requirements
• Updating transport systems and spreadsheets
• Filing and organising transport documentation
• Liaising with drivers, transport staff and maintenance providers
• Assisting with compliance and general fleet administration
• Carrying out any other general transport administration duties required

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience within transport, logistics or fleet administration is preferred
• Strong administration and organisational skills
• Good attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Able to work in a busy transport environment
• Good communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• A good understanding of vehicle checks, maintenance or transport compliance would be advantageous
