Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a Vehicle Technician for our client, a reputable automotive business in Chelmsford, Essex.

• Competitive basic salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am to 5:30pm (1-hour lunch break)
• Standard company pension scheme
• Holiday entitlement of 22 days plus bank holidays, with options to increase up to 25 days for experienced technicians
• No Saturday working

Duties of the Vehicle Technician:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues accurately and efficiently
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and service work in line with manufacturer standards
• Complete vehicle inspections and quality checks to required standards
• Advise customers on necessary repairs and recommended maintenance
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
• Keep the workshop clean, safe, and compliant with operational procedures

Requirements of the Vehicle Technician:

• Proven experience as a Service Technician or higher, with relevant skills for this technician role
• Full UK driving licence
• Own toolkit required
• Qualified to Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team as a Vehicle Technician
