Job Description:

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Technician to join a busy main dealership in Romford. Applicants must have previous vehicle servicing and repair experience and hold a minimum Level 2 NVQ qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology (IMI or City & Guilds). Previous main dealership experience is desirable but not essential.

Location: Romford, Essex
Salary: Up to £39,000 basic per annum plus bonus and overtime, OTE up to £55,000 per annum
MOT Allowance: Additional £91 per month for qualified MOT Testers
Hours: Full Time, Permanent

Vehicle Technician Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
• Complete vehicle inspections and health checks
• Identify additional repair and maintenance requirements
• Carry out MOT testing if appropriately qualified
• Complete accurate job cards and service records
• Maintain high workshop quality and safety standards

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Technician
• Minimum Level 2 NVQ qualification in Motor Vehicle Technology (IMI or City & Guilds), or equivalent
• Strong servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills
• Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
• Previous main dealership experience desirable but not essential
• Current MOT Tester Licence advantageous but not essential
