Warehouse Manager

Location: Witham, Essex
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Prime Appointments are recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Manager to join a busy and growing food manufacturing company based in Witham, Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated warehouse professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys leading teams, and is passionate about driving operational excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations, leading a team of warehouse operatives, and ensuring high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and safety are always maintained.

Key Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:

• Manage, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives to achieve operational targets.
• Oversee all day-to-day warehouse activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and accurate operations.
• Monitor and drive performance against key operational KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Plan and manage labour requirements, including the effective use of temporary staff during peak periods.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
• Oversee stock movements, inventory accuracy, and the timely dispatch of goods.

Requirements:

• Proven management experience within a fast-paced FMCG or food manufacturing warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop warehouse teams.
• Strong people management, communication, and organisational skills.
• Experience managing operational KPIs and implementing performance improvements.
• A strong understanding of warehouse operations, stock control, and inventory management.
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.

Hours & Pay:

• Permanent, full-time position.
• Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
• Salary between £36,000 and £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
