Warehouse Operative

We're looking for a motivated Warehouse Operative to join a busy Groundcare team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role and takes pride in keeping warehouse operations running efficiently.

The Role

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming deliveries from suppliers.
• Unpack, check, and accurately book in machinery, parts, and equipment.
• Safely load and unload delivery vehicles.
• Move stock between the warehouse, showroom, and goods-in areas.
• Pick, pack, and prepare stock for dispatch to branches and customers.
• Carry out regular stock checks and support inventory control.
• Maintain accurate stock records using warehouse systems.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Work closely with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Essential:

• Full UK driving licence.
• Forklift Truck Licence.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, email, and internet use.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Physically fit and able to safely lift items up to 25kg.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

• Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, stock control, or goods-in role.
• Experience handling machinery, agricultural, horticultural, or groundcare equipment.
