Job Description:

Water Hygiene Engineer – £38,000 to £40,000 + Overtime

📍 South London (Southwark & Lambeth), East London (Tower Hamlets), Kent (Tonbridge) – within the M25
🕐 Full-time, Permanent

We’re looking for a skilled Water Hygiene Engineer to join our growing team. If you’ve got experience in Legionella control and a keen eye for compliance, this is your chance to step into a role where your work truly makes a difference to safety and standards.

What you’ll be doing

• Carrying out routine monitoring: temperature checks, water sampling, inspections & TMV servicing

• Cleaning & disinfecting cold water storage tanks and hot water systems

• Supporting with remedial plumbing (pipework mods, minor installs, removing dead legs)

• Keeping accurate service reports and records

• Ensuring compliance with ACOP L8, HSG 274 & health & safety standards

• Delivering a professional, customer-focused service at all times

The essentials

✅ Previous experience in water hygiene / Legionella control
✅ Knowledge of ACOP L8 & HSG 274
✅ Full UK driving licence
✅ Strong communication and organisational skills
✨ (Bonus) Plumbing qualifications (NVQ / City & Guilds), Legionella Awareness training, or experience in commercial/healthcare settings
