Job Description:

Location: Little Braxted, Essex
Rate: £280 – £310 per day (DOE)
Duration: 16 weeks 
Start: 3-4 weeks 

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a standalone commercial dilapidation project in Little Braxted, Essex. This will be working on behalf of a main contractor. 

This is an £800k project involving the full strip-out, demolition and dilapidation works of an existing commercial unit. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.

Responsibilities

• Managing all site operations from start to completion
• Coordinating subcontractors and site labour
• Ensuring health & safety compliance and maintaining site standards
• Conducting site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings
• Monitoring programme and reporting progress to the Contracts Manager
• Managing site documentation including RAMS, permits and site records
• Liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders as required
• Overseeing strip-out, demolition and enabling works activities
• Managing site logistics and material deliveries
• Ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout the project

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial refurbishment, demolition, strip-out or dilapidation projects
• SMSTS
• First Aid at Work
• CSCS Card (Black or Gold preferred)
• Strong health & safety knowledge
• Ability to manage a site independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience delivering projects in the £500k–£2m range desirable
