Groundworks Site Manager

Location: Takeley, Essex
Rate: £350 per day
Contract: 18 months
Start Date: Immediate

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Groundworks Site Manager to oversee groundworks packages on a large residential development in Takeley, Essex.

This is an excellent long-term contract opportunity, offering 18 months of work on a brand-new residential development. You will play a key role in managing groundworks operations, coordinating site teams and ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing all groundworks operations on site.

• Coordinating subcontractors, plant, labour and site resources.

• Monitoring programme progress and ensuring works are delivered to schedule.

• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

• Conducting toolbox talks, site inspections and safety briefings.

• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.

• Monitoring site performance and resolving operational issues.

• Working closely with the wider project team to ensure the smooth delivery of groundworks packages.

Essential Requirements

• Proven Site Management experience within groundworks and residential construction.

• Valid SMSTS certificate.

• Valid CSCS card.

• First Aid at Work certificate.

• Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.

• Good understanding of residential infrastructure and groundworks packages.

• Ability to manage subcontractors and coordinate site activities effectively.
