Job Description:

Delta Personnel is looking for an experienced Site Manager for a water sector civils project in Little Hallingbury, near Bishop’s Stortford.

Start date: Monday 26 October 2026

Duration: Expected to run into the new year, with a break over Christmas.

You will manage daily site activities and oversee a small team expected to include two excavator operators, a dumper groundworker and a groundworker covering traffic marshalling and banksman duties.At least one member of the site team must hold CAT & Genny training.

Duties include:

• Managing site operatives, plant and subcontractors.
• Planning daily activities and working to the construction programme.
• Ensuring RAMS, permits and site safety procedures are followed.
• Carrying out site inductions, toolbox talks and daily briefings.
• Monitoring workmanship and maintaining site records.
• Coordinating deliveries and liaising with the project team and client.

Requirements:

• Previous Site Manager experience on civils projects, ideally within water or wastewater.
• SMSTS.
• Valid CSCS card.
• First Aid.
• Thames Water Safety Passport. The client can facilitate this if required.
